The Disappearing Library

You've decided to pick up the books the Disappearing Library has thrown at you. You tell the Library Demon that you think THEY HAD TRUE FRIENDSHIP, even if the Ledger Demon lied about who he was. It's hard not to like the Library Demon, honestly. They're just so happy and excited all the time to have company.

That's when you wonder if maybe there's something to that. Do demons and Eldritch beings get along? Or maybe there's some other explanation as to why the Ledger Demon did what he did? As you help put the books back, you ask the Library Demon about getting literature about otherworldly beings like the ones you're all encountering now.

"OH! I wouldn't look at those," they say, scared. "You have mortal eyes, and those books aren't good for mortals. Lots of people end up not right after reading them." They sigh. "I'm sorry, I'm not very helpful this time around."

You shake your head and ask them to tell you what they've read. After all, if they've read a lot of the library, the little demon must KNOW about them, right? It only makes sense!

Challenge #4:

Share something that inspires you

The Library Demon's eyes light up and their wings vibrate. "You really want to listen? Really really? Okay, let me see, where do I start!"

You guide the Library Demon over to a round table with a well-worn sofa chair and take the small pad of paper sitting there. You grab a pen and some highlighters from a cupped cup and start writing down anything you think is relevant from the demon's chatter. It's quite a lot, but the Library Demon doesn't seem to notice you're having a hard time keeping up. They just go on and on about stories and facts: everything they know comes spilling out like a broken dam.

By the time they're finished, you've run through the entire notepad and two pens of ink. You look down at your notes, and they're almost incomprehensible because you wrote so fast.

"Is that okay?" they ask, looking curiously at your writing.

You're not sure, but you also need to go back through them to highlight and organize your thoughts. You sigh. Research is always such a tedious, messy process...

What do you choose to work on first?
