The Disappearing Library

At the end of your reading, you're convinced that Noct's Lodge is the same one that the summoner's use for the rituals each year. No wonder he found you all so easily! And perhaps this adds to why he feels cheated. He is clearly a demon who is easily scorned and yet abundantly generous to those who have earned his generosity. Perhaps he thinks that you all have taken advantage of him for years? Hundreds, maybe thousands of years?

You are suddenly overwhelmed by a vision, maybe a memory. You are sitting in the summoner's lodge, feet up on a stool as you sink back into a cushioned chair. You are writing something in a language you can't understand and speaking a language you have never heard. The demon to your right is Noct, who is also sitting by the fire and lounging with a book. He seems to be reading the same thing as you, annotating the book as you are. Both of you are laughing over something, though you're not sure what. You assume that it has something to do with what's written...

Challenge #3:

Buddy read one of your prompt books or the group read

You take the book with you as you continue your search. The Disappearing Library has always had a will of its own, and the Library Demon tries their best to take care of this ancient entity. The Library seems to have helped you start your search on how to handle Noct. Perhaps you can find something else here?

Hours pass, and you've come up with nothing. You've skimmed through the first book several more times, but you can't seem to find anything that leads you elsewhere. No matter. You've run into this problem before, and you are nothing if not determined. Besides, there's time... right?

The Library Demon flies straight towards you, almost running into your chest trying to stop. "THERE you are!" they say, completely out of breath. "Alfie found a note that might help! He said that you might be the best person to help out."

Then a loud THUMP sounds from behind you. The Disappearing Library has shoved another book off of its shelves. The Library Demon glares at the shelf. "Not now! The note is more important!"

The Disappearing Library tosses two more books off the shelves, almost like it's insisting that you both pay attention.

You don't know who to follow. Alfie might be able to find someone else, but maybe you're the only one who can help. No one else seems to be paying attention to the Disappearing Library, but the Demon says that the note is more important than whatever the Library has to say.
