Another Prompt, Another Book
You pick up "Vicious", knowing Noct will like the book, but also kind of afraid to give it to him. You're not sure whether to stick your hand through the portal to hand it over, or toss it at him.
He rolls his eyes and scoffs. "Just give it to me, summoner. It is a chore keeping this portal open."
You hand it through the portal and yank you hand back as soon as he has it. It's so cold over there! You rub your hand a little to warm it while Noct looks over the book again.
"Very well, it will do," he says. Noct stands up and a dusting of ash falls off of him. He looks around the room and the pile of books near him. "I need to find the next set of books for you to choose. In the meantime, entertain me. I enjoy a good story."

Just as you finish up your story, three more books come flying out of the portal. Your demon rushes to catch them before they accidentally hit you. You find "Truly Devious", "The Diviners", and "Doll Bones" in your demon's hands.
"Which one?" Noct asks, looking bored again. "Old mysteries or something about ancient knowledge. Something of that sort."
