The Normal Rules:

• Readathon begins midnight on February 14th and ends 11:59 pm on February 28th (Two full weeks)

- You will have February 29th to submit your final counts here.

- On March 1st, you will receive an email with a link to "finalize your bargain". Be on the lookout!

• Books read can be in ANY FORM. If no "pages" are available (ie. audiobook or ebook with "loc"), please go to Goodreads for pages. The most recent edition will be used for page count.

• You may combine books to fit multiple prompts. You will get credit for completing the prompt but only input the pages once. No cheating. Your demon will be watching.

• Download the Spreadsheet. It will be used to calculate your "win" at the end. Makes things easy.

- Each book is 10 points, each page is 1 point, and each challenge is 5 points

• You may choose as many or as few prompts as you like. However, you must finish the group read (or use Shesmu's ability) and there is a secret amount of points necessary in order to finish the bargain with your demon (it's not that difficult, I promise!).

• Here are all the reading Prompts:

1. Read a steamy romance or a book with a sex scene

2. Read something light and fun

3. Read something weird, doesn't fit one genre, or is something outside your comfort zone

4. Read a book with secrets and/or lies

5. Read something inspiring

6. Read something adventure-filled or action-filled

7. Read something indulgent

8. Read "She Walks in Shadows" (the group read)

• If you choose to attempt every prompt, you are eligible for the giveaway competition.

• Here are all the challenges:

1. Post a picture of the demon you want to summon, along with their name, traits, and what you're bargaining for. (Please DO NOT use the Assistant Demons. They already have contracts!)

2. Post your TBR

3. Post about your favorite demon or type of demon

4. The Story of Faust: If the Devil himself could grant you one wish, but you would be dead 24 years later, what would you wish for?

• Challenges may be posted on Twitter, Instagram, or Youtube. Please use #demonathon or @demonathon!

• You may use any or all of the abilities below ONCE:

- Crowley: Skip any reading prompt for full credit (but no pages count)

- Egui: You may add more books to your TBR for extra credit, but no extra pages count (as many books as you want)

- Wendigo: If you've read at least half of a book, you may stop reading and earn full credit and full pages.

- Inari: You may read a book that doesn't fit the prompt

- Shesmu: You may skip the group read (but only receive 1/2 the points)

- C'thulhu: Destroy your TBR and/or give up. You retain all your projected points.

The Competition Rules:

Most rules are the same as the normal rules: you have the same amount of time to complete the prompts, you will use the same spreadsheet, the prompts and challenges are the same, you may read any format you like, all the points are the same.

HERE ARE THE CHANGES:

• You may NOT combine books to complete the prompts. Every prompt must have its own book.

• You may only use ONE ability.

• Submit your final counts here.

• The winner will receive a book of their choice shipped via Amazon.

The winner with the most points will be announced on March 1st via Twitter. The winner will also be personally contacted, so please ensure ALL accounts are spelled correctly!
